Seems like Mr Fellowes did his research. This real-life war veteran Bates, so devoted to the woman who run the hospital he was cured in, exerting himself, is remembered in a way he surely wouldn’t have thought of.
I’m not there yet! That’s amazing! Anyone else realize her sassy mother-in-law is Elsie?
